5 Signs You'll Be Ready For This By September
You know that feeling in late August, when the light starts changing and you realise summer gave you everything except a moment to stop and breathe?
If you're already sensing that coming, keep reading. Here are five signs this September is going to ask something of you — and one place where you can meet it fully rested instead of running on empty.
1. You've spent the whole summer looking after everyone else. The school holidays, the visitors, the plans you made for other people. Somewhere in there, you got quietly left off the list.
2. Your to-do list has a "when things calm down" section that never arrives. September has a habit of turning "when things calm down" into "when things speed up again."
3. You can't remember the last time you sat with a thought for longer than thirty seconds. Not scrolling. Not half-listening while you fold laundry. Actually sitting with it.
4. You're craving warmth — the kind that isn't just weather. Connection, stillness, a bit of gold light on your skin before the UK slides into autumn.
5. Some part of you already knows you're going to need this. Not want. Need. There's a difference, and you feel it.
If any of that landed, here's where it leads.
Five days. Spanish autumn sunshine. A saltwater pool amidst vineyards. Could it be yours?
This September, I'm taking a small group of women to Soul Farm, just outside Barcelona, for five days that are exactly what you need them to be. I've created an itinerary with enough structure to hold you, and plenty of space left over for yourself — because that balance, that rest, is essential. It isn't there by accident.
And this retreat is so much more than yoga.
Yes, there's yoga — every morning, and it's for every woman, every age, every level. Stiff joints, tight hamstrings, a body that hasn't touched its toes in years — you are completely welcome here. This is not a retreat for the already-flexible. It's for anyone who wants to feel more at home in their own body by the end of the week.
But there's also a guided hike through the vineyards to a hidden natural pool, where the water is warm enough to swim in the afternoon sun. Journalling. A private reiki and oracle card session with me, one to one. And the food — proper, nourishing, beautifully prepared meals that are their own kind of ritual, eaten slowly, together, outside.
Eight women are already booked in, and the room already has that particular warmth you only get when everyone there has chosen, on purpose, to arrive fully.
There's one space left — a spacious twin share, perfect if you're travelling solo and don't mind good company in the room as well as around the table. Honestly, some of the best friendships from past retreats have started exactly that way.
If this resonates with you, then it's time to put yourself first. You'll be so thankful you did.
